Thru sales of Joe's CD "Live From Nowhere In Particular" to friend's (Roy Ebert - never forget you on this one my friend) , co-workers, strangers I was able to win the guitar. I received a phone call from Rachael at J&R Adventures telling me I had won the guitar on October 1, 2008.....how do I remember the date? I just happened to have a ticket in my hand for a Joe Bonamassa concert that evening in Omaha, NE!! The car might as well have had wings on it from Indianola to Omaha! The show was at The Whiskey Roadhouse and when I got there, Garth (God Rest His Precious Soul) handed me pages of congratulatory wishes from Joe's Fan Forum and said I might like to read thru them. Before the show started, Joe was milling about the audience and asked if I wanted the guitar that night....heck no, Joe Bonamassa, I wanted to fly somewhere....lol.....stay at a nice hotel...lol........Of course, the concert that night was in a smaller venue with Joe up close & personal...and Joe being Joe made the evening just oh so perfect with the message and autograph on my ticket.
As a sidenote: When the contest had first started I had eaten at a Chinese restaurant and the fortune in my cookie said: " You will receive an unusual gift. " I still have that somewhere, will take some digging but will provide a pic of it when found
